Corporate Investigations
HOME | Investigation & Fact-finding | Corporate Investigations
The corporate environment can be a breeding ground for incidences of wrongdoing and often illegal behavior that can threaten your organization financially, as well as in terms of stability and reputation. Knowing the best way to react and respond can be challenging, but a discreet Corporate Investigation can provide an effective resolution.
When to Undertake a Corporate Investigation?
All companies are subject to risks affecting profitability and efficiency, and whilst Corporate Investigations have been made a great deal easier with technological advancements such as better surveillance and improved Computer Forensics, there is still often a need for an internal enquiry. Mitigating risk, and protecting your organisation from disputes that can be financially draining, is crucial to providing organizational stability for both employees and clients and customers.
Undertaking a Workplace Investigation
Typically, Workplace Investigations will involve the following:
• Review and analysis of the information and facts available
• Creation of an investigative strategy with an investigation plan
• Obtaining and examination of all relevant documentary evidence including the recovery of digital files, emails, spreadsheets etc
• Identification and interviewing of witnesses
• Identification of possible suspects
• Preparation of script for interview, and interview process
Evidence can be obtained from a number of sources, including organisational documents, records of spending, data retrieved from digital devices and interviews with witnesses and suspects alike.
